Brandt Swimmer from South Shore L.I. This folky Brandt has very sleek extended neck swimmer position. The back forms a wedge similar to the decoys made by Ackerly. The head sits in a pocket which fits into the body. The iron chain ballast is connected both front and aft. Areas of original paint are visible under the over paint. Provenance: Acquired by descent from Dr. George R. Brush, of the settling Brush family of Southold, Long Island, New York.
