English made brass bound mahogany box with inlaid brass by Down Brothers Makers. Engraved bone segments list Down Bros. Makers and a second bone plate reads "Near Guys Hospital". Guys Hospital is near London Bridge, London. This was originally a surgical instrument box. Dovetail construction. Fitted to a later framed base. Humidor gauge inside is modern. Dimensions; 22"H X 11"L X 8"Deep, 7 lbs.
