The artist, Breiter began as a self-taught artist, passed the entrance examination to the Kunstgewerbeschule in Salzburg in 1946 and became a student of Max Peiffer Watenphul. He was a member of the artists' group Salzburger Gruppe and the Salzburger Kunstverein, among others. Breiter undertook several study trips, particularly to Italy. His subjects were landscapes and atmospheric paintings.

Der Künstler, Breiter begann als Autodidakt, bestand 1946 die Aufnahmeprüfung an der Kunstgewerbeschule in Salzburg und wurde Schüler von Max Peiffer Watenphul. Er war u. a. Mitglied in der Künstlergruppe Salzburger Gruppe und im Salzburger Kunstverein. Breiter unternahm mehrere Studienreisen, insbesondere nach Italien. Seine Sujets waren Landschafts- und Stimmungsbilder.
