Bridal casket - Renaissance Style - Wood - Late 19th century
Late 19th century painted wooden wedding casket. So it is called because in the Renaissance in Tuscany the groom or the parents of one of the two spouses offered these chests as a dowry to the future wife. The two spouses were generally depicted on the front and the groom's family crest in the center. The casket has been treated with woodworm due to the numerous holes, the polychromy has undergone restorations on all sides and measures 52x31x23 cm. Due to current regulations it cannot be shipped outside the European Union.
