Eadgar (959-975), Penny, Two Line type [HT 1, NE V], Eanwulf, crescent at end of obv. legend, eanvlf m¯o divided by three crosses pattée, trefoil of pellets above and below, 1.13g/11h (CTCE 42; SCBI Ashmolean 389, same dies; SCBI BM 905-6; N 741; S 1129). Some edge loss, dark patina with spots of green cuprite, otherwise good fine £240-£300---Provenance: M.
