Alfred the Great (871-899), Penny, Two Line type, late issue, Wulfred, cross pattee, rev. vvlfred + in two lines, three pellets between, pellet above and below, 1.54g/5h (B & S –; SCBI East Anglia 101 [Morley St Peter hoard]; N 639; S 1067). Extremely fine, dark tone£1,500-£2,000---The colour, condition and source suggests provenance to the Bossall/Flaxton (N.
