Etched blade features fouled anchor motifs, crowned royal cipher and retailer mark Gieves alongside presentation inscription PRESENTED BY H.M. KING GEORGE V TO CHIEF CADET CAPTAIN ROBERT CHARLES PATRICK ELLIS. 20TH DECEMBER 1926. showing light surface patination and minor runner wear. Cast brass hilt displays acorn finial crossguard with central crown and anchor medallion, lion head pommel with lanyard ring and shagreen grip tightly bound with wire. Leather scabbard exhibits minor surface crazing and scuffing, fitted with gilded brass lock mount, suspension rings and applied silver royal cipher. Full length 24 inches, blade length 18 inches.
