Bronze & Cast Iron Hardware & Decor

A collection of cast metal items including Asian-themed decorative pieces and architectural elements. The first item is a bronze vase featuring a flared rim and a bulbous body. The exterior is decorated with a high-relief dragon coiling around the neck above an incised wave pattern. The dragon is depicted with three claws on each foot, characteristic of Japanese design. The base is flat and solid with no maker marks or inscriptions visible. A second piece is an openwork cast iron fragment depicting a stylized dragon or chimera head with a curved neck. The reverse is recessed, and the piece features a single mounting hole near the lower edge. The third item is a bronze candle holder top or finial, cast in the form of a phoenix (Ho-o) with elaborate scrolling tail feathers. The bird is secured to a lotus-petal bobeche and a flared, hollow socket by a square-headed rivet. The final item is an ornate cast iron wall hook with two lower hooks and a long upper arm ending in a flared trumpet shape. The central mounting plate is pierced with two holes for installation.
