Brooch - 14 kt. Silver, Yellow gold Diamond (Natural)
Antique brooch from the Biedermeier era in 585 gold with silver applications in the diamond area. The brooch is hollow, in the style typical of the time, with richly decorated shapes made of so-called foam gold. The design allows for very large and eye-catching shapes, which are, however, relatively light in weight for their large volume.
This ancient brooch even still has the freely dangling chain with the small pendant, which is a rarity.
The brooch has an enamelled centre piece with silver flowers set with impressively large diamonds. The diamonds are antique rose cut. The centre diamond alone is around 0. 60 ct. with external dimensions of 6. 2-6. 4 mm. All 11 diamonds together are around 1. 50 ct. The lower diamond of the main piece also has a beautiful full Dutch rose cut and fine clarity.
Overall, a small work of art in gold in the best condition. An irreplaceable time document.
