Dans l'histoire de Brough Superior, la vitesse tient une grande importance. Il faut se souvenir que les SS100 étaient livrées à leurs propriétaires avec un certificat attestant qu'elles avaient atteint une vitesse de 100 mph. Par ailleurs, les records de vitesse étaient une forme de compétition très prisée et Pendine, une plage du pays de Galles parfaite pour ce genre d'exploit. En 2013, Mark Upham, propriétaire de la marque à cette époque, se lançait dans la conquête de record sur le lac salé de Bonneville. Le 25 août 2013, aux commandes de cette Brough Superior à moteur Jap 750 cm3, baptisée Baby Pendine, Alan Cathcart établissait deux records du monde dans la catégorie FIM des machines de 750 cm3 atmosphériques non carénés. Le célèbre journaliste anglais effectuait un premier " run " à 97,447 mph sur le kilomètre lancé et 97,260 sur le mile lancé. Il effectuait le " run " de retour à 105,210 mph (pour le kilomètre) et 105,004 mph (pour le mile), soit une vitesse moyenne de 101,33 mph (163,04 km/h) sur le kilomètre et 101,13 mph (162,721 km/h) sur le mile. Henry Cole, un présentateur de la télé britannique, établissait également un record AMA. Cette machine, qui renouait avec la gloire passée, est une aubaine pour tout amateur de sensations fortes et de machines rares.

Speed is of great importance in the history of Brough Superior. It's worth remembering that the SS100 were delivered to their owners with a certificate stating the fact they had reached a speed of 100 mph. Furthermore, speed records were a very popular type of competition and a beach in Wales called Pendine was the perfect spot for this kind of achievement. In 2013, Mark Upham, owner of the brand at that time, went into setting a record on the Bonneville salty lake. On the 25th August 2013 at the helm of this Brough Superior named Baby Pendine and with a 750cc Jap engine, Alan Cathcart set two world records in the FIM category of 750cc atmospheric non-streamlined machines. The famous English journalist made a first run at 97.447 mph on a flying kilometre and 97,260 mph on a flying mile. He made the run back at 105.210 mph (for the kilometre) and 105.004 mph (for the mile), an average speed of 101.33 mph (163.04 km/h) on the kilometre and 101.13 mph (162.721 km/h) on the mile. British TV presenter Henry Cole also established an AMA record. Reconnected to its past glory, this machine is a chance of a lifetime for any enthusiast of thrills and rare machines.
