Conner was commissioned by Lincoln Center to design a poster for the 1965 New York Film Festival. The design was eventually rejected and from the film strips that he used to make the poster, he created 10 Second Film.
Printed manufacturer's mark to lower left edge ‘Bruce Conner/Commissioned by Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts for the List Art Poster Program of the American Federation of Arts'.
