According to the Conner Family Trust, on April 24th, 1961, Conner wrote his New York gallerist, Charles Alan: 'If SHORT POEM still exists please tear into pieces small enough to put in envelope and mail to me.' It is believed that both lots 245 and 263 may be fragments of this early etching.
Signed, titled and dated to verso ‘Bruce Conner Untitled Fragment 1961'.
