Bruno Landi was born in Rome in 1941, where he attended the Academy of Fine Arts. From 1965 to 1975 he was in Paris, where he came in contact with the great works of Impressionism and Cubism. Especially Picasso and Amedeo Modigliani were his most important influences. Back in Italy, he devoted himself to the development of his personal language based on geometric decomposition and dynamism.
