Buck Harley-Davidson Knife with Box
Overall length: 10.25 inches Blade length: 5.25 inches. A Buck Custom American-made fixed blade knife produced in collaboration with Harley-Davidson. The polished stainless steel trailing point blade features elaborate etched and gilded decorations. The obverse side displays a stylized eagle head near the tip, and a central ribbon reading The American Legend in black lettering over a gold-tone ground. Above the ribbon is the text Live to Ride... RIDE TO LIVE, accompanied by the Harley-Davidson bar and shield logo in gold and black. Fine print at the bottom of the etching reads ? 1991 HARLEY-DAVIDSON, INC. The ricasso is stamped with the maker marks Buck CUSTOM U.S.A. The reverse side of the blade is etched with a block of text reading LIVE TO RIDE.....RIDE TO LIVE followed by a four-line inscription regarding the passion of the Harley-Davidson rider. The handle is constructed with a contoured grip of polished wood laminates secured by two brass pins and finished with a brass finger guard. The knife is housed in a wooden presentation box featuring a hinged lid with an inset glass panel etched with the Harley-Davidson bar and shield logo. The interior is lined with black velvet and the case is secured by a brass-tone latch.
