Sublime Buddha, eroded, from the Konbaung period, 18th century, Burma Very decorative piece despite its condition. The Konbaung Dynasty, 1752-1885, named the dynasty of Alaungpaya, was the last Burmese monarchy. It was founded by Alaungpaya, a village chief who led a rebellion against the Monks, it succeeded to the Taungû Dynasty (1531-1752) . Wooden sculpture of Buddha calling on the Earth to witness, on top of his throne representing the Mount Meru. Very serene and smooth face.
