American. 1950s. Buddy L was made by the Moline Pressed Steel Company in Illinois. The founder (Fred Lundahl) wanted to make toys that were new, different, and durable for his son Arthur (nicknamed "Buddy"). Marked, on side of trailer. Marked, "Buddy L Toys East Moline Illinois", tires.

Original condition. Some wear throughout. Oxidation to the front grille. Rear door loose and tab broken off. Dent to top.
