CODY, WILLIAM FREDERICK (BUFFALO BILL). 1846-1917. A one-page typed letter signed on Buffalo Bill's Wild West letterhead, New York, Oct 18th, 1897. 11" x 8 1/2". Signed: "W.F. Cody." The typed/filled-in form letter is an employee recommendation, reading in full: "The bearer of this, Martin Flynn has been in the employ of Buffalo Bill's Wild West for ten seasons, 1887 to 1897 and has performed all duties required of him to our entire satisfaction." Condition: toned, scattered foxing, fold creases, a few fold/edge tears (including one extending through logo top left), soiling to verso.
