Designed as a coiling serpent, the head and tail embellished with pear- and marquise-shaped diamonds to pavé-set brilliant-cut diamonds, the eyes accented by cabochon rubies, the scales enhanced with a line of brilliant-cut diamonds, the mouth opening to reveal a round dial framed by brilliant-cut diamonds, inner circumference approximately 110mm, expandable, signed Bulgari, dial signed Jaeger-leCoultre, numbered, Italian assay marks for platinum and gold, case stamped Bulgari.

Accompanied by a copy of the original design drawing, dated 1968.

Signed BVLGARI, dial signed Jaeger-leCoultre, case numbered 709137 A. Italian assay marks and stamped 950 PT for platinum and 750 for 18 carat gold. Principal pear-shaped diamond estimated to weigh approximately 2.50 - 3.50 carats, H-I colour, VS1-VS2 clarity, as gauged and graded in the mount. Remaining diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 8.50 - 10.50 carats, on average G-H colour, one example M+ colour, VS, some SI clarity, as gauged and graded in the mount. Rubies purplish red of medium saturation, slightly included, nicks. Very minor tarnish to the scales only visible upon close inspection. Scratching to the metal consistent with age and wear. In good condition. Width from tip to tail approximately 100mm. Gross weight approximately 319 grams. Accompanied by a case stamped BVLGARI ROMA.
