Bulova aims to bring back the essence of its heritage with the launch of the Classic Jet Star collection, paying homage to its original watches from the 1970s.
At the heart of the Jet Star version is the high-precision Bulova Manufacture Precisionist quartz movement, which features a frequency of 262k. Hz, bringing accuracy within a range of plus or minus five seconds per month. The smooth and flowing second hand beats 16 times per second, adding a touch of elegance to each of the watches.
All watches in the collection feature domed sapphire crystal, luminous hands and cabochons at the 3 o'clock position, date display at the 3 o'clock position, water resistance to 50 meters, and interchangeable spring bar bracelets and straps with easy release clasps.
Design elements were carefully chosen from the watchmaker's archive, with inspiration drawn specifically from the 1973 model, lending a timeless appeal to the new Jet Star watches. The turtle-shaped case has been modernized into a contemporary angular 40mm shape, while the colors of the original dial from that era display an eye-catching “dégradé effect”.
