"The Pilgrim's Progress: From This World to That Which Is to Come", by John Bunyan, published by Robert Carter & Brothers, New York, 1860. First American edition with William Thomas illustrations. Complete all 20 original wood engravings by William Thomas including frontispiece are present. Each plate has an engraved signature "W. Thomas Sc".

William Luson Thomas (London 4 December 1830 - 1900) was a British wood-engraver and the founder of various British newspapers. He designed and engraved the wood engravings for "The Pilgrim's Progress" in 1857.
