A small bust of a Roman emperor wearing a laurel wreath. His harness is visible with a lion head phalera in the middle of the breastplate. His mantel is draped over his left shoulders and tied together with a knot. The bust is made of bronze , which is cast in two halves that are kept together by the original - almost invisible - brass rivet at the back of the head. The Southern Netherlands. Late Renaissance. Early 17th century. Dimensions: H (of the bust) 7,7cm ; H (with stand) 15cm ; W (arms) 6,7cm Presented on a modern custom-made metal stand.
