Buster Keaton Signature
Signature

Joseph Frank "Buster" Keaton (1895-1966). Clipped signature of early comedic film actor Buster Keaton, mounted on black cardstock. Clipping measures 3.125" x 1.1875", no place, no date, on card measuring 4.75" x 2.25" overall. Fine condition.

Buster Keaton lived a life in the showbiz, starting as a Vaudeville actor as a child before going on to star in silent film, where he was known for his physical comedy and deadpan facial expression. He later progressed as the craft of filmmaking did, to acting in the "talkies", but his star fizzled and he had a lull before reinventing his career as a gag writer, and later on television with The Buster Keaton Show.
