The Buttes Watch Co. was founded around 1901 by "Henri" Alexandre Jeannin-Rosselet in Buttes Canton Neuchâtel. He previously worked in watchmaking in Fleurier. He registered the brand name BWC in 1905.

Rare collector's watch from Buttes Watch-Rarität.

Original dial. Not refinished, not refurbished.

Year of manufacture around 1940

Fine black original dial. Arabic numbers Arabic minute track with 1/5 second graduation. Scales in gold color. Two auxiliary dials in a wheel look, also in gold. Small second on the six. 30 minute counter on the three. Silver-colored baton hands and silver-colored chronograph hand. Marked BUTEX CHRONORAPH SUISSE 17 Jewels. Above the Six Antimagnetic - below the Six Swiss Made.

Movement caliber Landeron 47 three pusher. Very nice original condition of the movement - chatons - gold wheels - ruby endstone. Fine factory construction.

Stop sequence . Start pusher at the top. Stop pusher down. 0 position with crown pusher

Movement and chronograph working.

Pressed back cover - inside fond inoxydable (capital letters)

The watch is in its original condition and therefore has signs of wear.

Watch size 34mm without crown with crown 37mm. Weight 48g

Elegant black leather clasp strap. Width 17mm. Stretchable length. The leather strap will not be shipped to various countries outside the EU.

Interesting rare collector's watch in very good condition. A rarity chronograph.
