A fine personally-owned item by pioneering astronaut Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin. A handsome silk necktie with a colorful pattern appropriately-named "Apollo," created as part of the "Molecular Expressions: Moon Rock Collection" produced by Stonehenge. The tie measures 56" long, and is 3.75" at the widest point. In fine condition.

This necktie is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity from Lisa Cannon, the daughter of Lois Aldrin, who attests that it was part of Aldrin's personal collection. Also included is a photocopy of a photograph showing Aldrin wearing on the ties from this collection. Ex: Heritage.

Stonehenge, Ltd. produced neckwear based on the artwork of Grateful Dead guitarist and vocalist Jerry Garcia, then creating its "Molecular Expressions" in 1994. The company presented Buzz Aldrin with the first complete "Moon Rock" set of ties at the international launch of the collection June 2, 1994, at Macy's Herald Square in New York.

This item comes with a Certificate from John Reznikoff, a premier authenticator for both major 3rd party authentication services, PSA and JSA (James Spence Authentications), as well as numerous auction houses.
