Magnificent two panel screen with a late winter, early spring scene of a colorful painting of melting snow on a Japanese apricot "Ume" tree in early bloom on a gold leaf base. On the wildly shaped tree branches are a number of chattering colorful birds. Bamboo and blue wavy river in the background. The painting has a very nice composition, is in good condition, with some small imperfections. The painting has an orange brocade border. The screen has a black lacquered wood frame, the backside covered with dark blue linen. This kind of room-divider is light in weight and can also be easily mounted flat on a wall and presented as one piece of art. Total width: 189 cm; ( 2 x 94. 5 cm) , Height: 172 cm. When shipped we will add a certificate of authenticity.
