Large six panel byobu-screen with a painting on gold-leaf of a dense pine tree forest situated along the shore of a winding river. In the foreground, at the bend of the river an empty fisher boat is docked safely. Overall, this large painting gives a balanced and serene feel. The ever green pine trees are symbols of a long life. Two partly faded seals of an unknow artist are stamped on the right most panel, see the last photo. Surrounding the painting a nice complementary border of ocean blue silk with a flower pattern, protected by a black lacquered wooden frame with original metal hardware. Considering the age, which is approximately 150 - 170 years old, in very good condition. There are some signs of wear and old repairs, but no outstanding defects. Please check the pictures as a reference. These kind of room dividers are light in weight and can also be easily mounted flat on a wall and presented as one piece of art.
