Signed with corresponding seal: Butsugai. This is the painter Wakasa Seikyô (Butsugai) (1887-1957) , painter in Nanga style from Akita, active in Kyoto. He visited China and was heavily influenced by his Chinese contemporaries Wang Yiting and Wu Changshuo. These kind of room-dividers are light in weight and can also be easily mounted flat on a wall and presented as one piece of art. Total width: 199 cm (2 x 94,5 cm) , Height: 171 cm.
