Two panel byobu screen with a Kanō-school very nicely detailed tinted monochrome painting on sprinkled gold, depicting (right) the Chinese Immortal Qin Kao (Kinkō sennin) sitting on his carp and (left) the Turtle Immortal Huang An (Kame sennin) sitting on a minogame-turtle and reading a handscroll. Signed: Tsunenobu (attributive) . Some small defects and superficial signs of wear and use. One frame is slightly twisted. These kind of roomdividers are light in weight and can also be easily mounted flat on a wall and be presented as one impressive work of art. Size; H. : 172 cm; Total width: 182 cm (2x 91cm) .
