This pair of Meiji era (1868-1912) two-panel screens captivates with its exquisite portrayal of scenes reminiscent of the Heian period (794-1185) , showcasing the imperial court and elegantly designed fan motifs. The panels are signed, indicating the artist's pride in their craftsmanship. Each scene is meticulously rendered, inviting viewers to step back in time to the sophistication of Japan's classical age.

These artworks, however, bear the marks of time; they exhibit signs of wear such as stains, wrinkles, tears, and flaking. These condition notes, as detailed in the accompanying photographs, attest to their historical journey and authenticity.
