A substantial bronze buckle comprising: a round-section loop: triangular-section tongue with one end curved over the loop, flange to the rear; crescent plaque with returned strap to the underside. 242 grams, 96mm (3 3/4"). Property of a North London lady; gifted from her father's collection; formerly with a Mayfair gallery, London, UK; previously acquired in the 1980s.
