Byzantine Pilgrim's Ampulla Collection

A collection of small lead ampullae shaped as miniature pointed amphoras due to their elongated basic shape tapering downwards on both handles, used by the pilgrims going to the Holy Land for holding Holy Water or consecrated oil. 120 grams, 36-52mm (1 1/2 - 2"). From a private Netherlands collection; previously in an old collection since before 1980. [6]
