A byzantine bronze cross set into a custom silver pendant. The bronze cross, c. 10th - 12th Century AD, is the front half of an enkolpia bearing the image of the Virgin with arms outstretched. The cross is set within a custom .925 silver bezel with suspension lop. 7 x 3.3 cm. Ex Epshtein collection, Berkeley, CA.
