18th Century Sterling Silver Coffee Pot by Thomas Whipham & Charles Wright, 1768, London. Featuring a Rococo style design with a repousse pyriform body, swan's neck spout, and conforming foot. It's applied with a scrolling wood handle. Measures approximately 12" x 8", with a total weight of 36.26 troy ounces. Handle shows wear to finish and crack at upper attachment. This item originates from the estate of John A. Williams, a distinguished philanthropist and renowned collector. Mr. Williams and his partner Dewitt Hart were influential members of San Francisco's art society and were celebrated for their discerning taste in modern, ethnographic, and fine art.
