Le bateau que nous vous présentons a été acquis en 1971 par Michel Barone, grand pilote de racer. Celui-ci courant sur un racer 1300 cm3, échange sa machine en 1971 contre ce Racer afin de concourir en classe R2. Equipé d’un moteur alfa Roméo réalésé à 1 500 cm3 pour concourir en R2 ce bateau permettra à Michel Barone de remporter le championnat du monde 1973 En Bon état mais immobilisé depuis une dizaine d’années ce bateau sera à réviser et à remettre en route avant de reprendre le chemin des compétitions nautiques. 1965 ANGELO MOLINARI Class R2 1500 Single seater No sailing licence To be cleared through customs Sold by designation - 200 km/h on water - 1973 R2 Class World Champion - Alfa Romeo 1300 cc then 1500 cc engine Angelo Molinari, renowned for his outboard-engined competition hulls, was also very active in the inboard racer categories, particularly in the 1300cc class at the turn of the 1960s. The boat we are presenting to you was acquired in 1971 by Michel Barone, a great racer pilot. He raced a 1300cc racer and in 1971 swapped his machine for this Racer in order to compete in the R2 class. Fitted with an Alfa Romeo engine re-bored to 1,500 cm3 to compete in R2, this boat enabled Michel Barone to win the 1973 world championship. In good condition, but immobilised for ten years, this boat will need to be overhauled and put back on the road before it is ready to take to the water again.
