A GOLD AND BLOODSTONE VERGE WATCH WITH ASSOCIATED DIAL
CIRCA 1790

Movement: gilded full plate, verge escapement, pierced and engraved balance cock with mask to the foot, fusee and chain, signed C. Burton, London, No. 101
Dial: white enamel, Turkish numerals, outer minute track, beetle and poker hands, signed Georges Prior (sic), London
Case: gold, bloodstone bezel and case back

diameter 45.5mm

Accompanied by a later associated presentation case

Condition Report:
Movement: running at the time of cataloguing
Dial: although associated the dial is of the same period as the watch. Small chip by the lever at 6 o'clock but overall in good condition
Case: multiple cracks to the bloodstone bezel, back panel in good condition. Replaced silver and ruby thumb piece. Gold import marks to the stem.
