Offered is a fine condition Krag Model 1898 with "JSA 1902" cartouche and script "P" at wrist. CONDITION: Barrel retains 95% blue blending with some light patina. 85% bright blue on the bayonet band. Frame has 95% blue that is drifting. Mottled grey box and plate. Thinning blue on trigger guard. Walnut stock is near mint with just minor handling marks and perfect cartouche. Fine rifled bore. Comes with brass muzzle cover. Extremely fine model 1898. Comes with brass muzzle cover and original period leather sling with single brass frog with two keepers; stamped "ROCK ISLAND ARSENAL 1900".
