First year production from 1908 with all of the proper type 1 features found on guns serial number under 3000 to include the military stamped steel Indian head grips, Type 1 serial number location, Type 1 block letter barrel legend, Type 1 magazine release, Type 1 hammer and Type 1 rear sight with U notch and includes one magazine. All of this information can be found on pages 58-59 in the Savage Pistol book by Browner.Also has the milled trigger guard with hole at face. CONDITION: Very good. The slide retains flashes of blue, otherwise all metal is now a soft grey with crisp legends. Mechanically sound with a strong bore.
