Circa 1936. A 10 bore with 30" Damascus steel barrels. Barrels with 3" chambers and extractors. The concave smooth semi-wide rib is fit with a round steel front bead sight. Rib reads "W & C. SCOTT & SON. MAKERS & PATENTEES. 10. GT CASTLE STREET REGENT CIRCUS LONDON". Rib also nicely fit with doll's head extension. Bottom of barrel reads "NOT FOR BALL", "10B,11M" with appropriate Birmingham proofs. The silver grey patina back action sidelock with gas escapes, crystal indicators is handsomely scroll engraved and reads "PATENT BLOCK SAFETY HAMMERLESS" on left and under crystal windows reads "PATENT CRYSTAL INDICATOR". Top lever with scroll engraving and is checkered. Safe slide is serrated and "SAFE" is engraved in between safe slide and top lever. English walnut stock with fine checkered round knob pistol grip, vacant silver oval and checkered horn butt plate. Splinter forend with fine checkering is fit with an engraved and scored left lever release. CONDITION: Fair. Barrels with virtually none of their original color and with multiple handling marks as well pitting. Although barrels still with lots of wall thickness. Action and triggers are good. Stock with handling marks and visible repair to top left horn. Forend good with handling marks. Neat piece.
