CALENDAR OF THE OBSERVATORY OF THE CENTRAL OFFICE OF METEOROLOGY AT THE COLLEGIO ROMANO. YEAR V – 1884, ROME, TIP. BOTTA.- TACCHINI, P[ietro]. (1838-1905) Astronomer.
In-16° (18x12 cm) with 50, (1). Magnificent binding in Sardinian blue velvet, with the coat of arms of King Humberto I of Italy, with the royal mantle (with hat and curtains), gilt-stamped on the front cover and later backed with white silk. Binding of great decorative complexity, since it features another “bordeaux” velvet on the curtains. We attribute this binding to the artist Giovanni Battista Sanromerio, of Rome, who had a workshop there from 1870 to 1899.
Endpapers in white moiré silk. Copy offered to the kings of Italy for their use.

Magnifique reliure en velours bleu sarde, avec les armoiries du roi Humberto I d’Italie, avec le manteau royal (avec chapeau et rideaux), dorées à l’or sur le plat supérieur et postérieurement contrecollées de soie blanche. Reliure d’une grande complexité décorative, puisqu’elle présente un autre velours « bordeaux » sur les rideaux. Nous attribuons cette reliure à l’artiste Giovanni Battista Sanromerio, de Rome, qui eut un atelier dans cette ville de 1870 à 1899.
Gardes en soie moirée blanche. Exemplaire offert aux rois d’Italie pour leur usage.

环衬为白色水波纹真丝。此册赠予意大利国王夫妇供其使用。
出自意大利国王的私人藏书。
