MODEL 81 SEMI AUTO RIFLE. Cal. 30 Rem. S# 4953. Blued rifle with sporting sights & 22" barrel. Long-recoil action w/ unmarked extractor, clip guide & 5 rd. mag. Smooth walnut stock set w/ checkered steel Remington buttplate & stamped on right side buttstock "CALIF / HIGHWAY / PATROL". Butt of pistol grip stamped "27". CONDITION: over 90% original blue lightly fading & mixing with brown patina with spots of oxidation left side receiver. Original wood finish shows numerous sm. gouges & marks. Shiny bore with strong rifling. (26-4387/MD). CURIO. $1,000-1,500.
