CAMILLO PARRAVICINI Milan, 1902 - Rome, 1978 The Capitol from the Via dell'Impero, 1920 Watercolor on paper laid down on board, 36 x 54 cm Signed, inscribed and dated lower right: Camillo Parravicini, Roma, A. XX Titled upper right: Il Campidoglio dalla via dell’Impero Set designer and painter, Camillo Parravicini founded the "Parravicini Scenography" in 1928 thanks to which he was awarded the staging of important plays for the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, for which he worked until 1935. In those years he also worked for the Royal Opera House of Rome, collaboration that continued until his death in 1978.
