KM-Tn1; LC-1; Breton-520. Engrailed edge. A SCARCE and popular one-year type that seldom appears on the market in proof quality and as such should be considered VERY RARE. The present piece exhibits a strong strike with some minor weakness on the highest points of the design and hard semi-reflective surfaces slightly subdued by the rich patination. A very attractive pleasing example displaying a lovely combination of original mint red amongst the devices coupled with smooth milk chocolate patina in the open areas and atop of the devices highlight be an iridescent blue sheen.

A unique and fascinating design, conceived of by Sir Isaac Coffin for circulation in the SCARCEly populated islands located to the north of Nova Scotia in the middle of the Gulf of Saint Lawrence.
