A World War II date Canadian Red Ensign (measuring 140 x 71'') with a red field featuring the Royal Union Flag in the canton, defaced with the shield portion of the coat of arms of Canada, with the manufacturers label of J. J. Turner & Sons, Peterborough, Ontario, stitched to the hoist, signed by McNaughton in black ink with his name alone to the upper edge of the hoist. Rare.
