"CAPUCINE" CLOCK,

Louis XVI, the dial signed COURVOISIER ET COMP. (Louis Courvoisier, maître 1765), La Chaux-de-Fonds ca. 1775/85.

Gilt bronze. Enamel dial with minutes in Arabic numerals and hours in Roman numerals. Fine movement with verge escapement, striking the 4/4-hour on 2 bells. Repetition.
