The present painting, probably from the beginning of the first act of Friedrich Schiller's Wallenstein Triology, depicts the scene as Wallenstein, together with his court astrologer and personal physician Giovanni Battista Seni, studied and discussed the constellations in the astrology room.
Condition:
Oil on unlined canvas. Paint surface partly slightly thin with fine craquelure. Slight colour abrasion along the edges.
Under UV: under the strong in fluorescent green appearing varnish are no retouching visible.
Dimension with frame: 47 × 55.5 cm.
