Louis XV, the dial and movement signed LE FAUCHEUR A PARIS (Alexandre Lefaucheur, maître 1729), Paris ca. 1740/50.
Matte and polished gilt bronze. Cartouche-shaped case decorated with branches, flowers, rocailles and with the figure of a seated Chinese man on top. Rocaille-shaped pendulum window. Enamel dial with the hours in Roman numerals and the minutes in Arabic numerals. Anchor movement, striking the 1/2-hour on bell. Repeater mechanism, removed. Gilding rubbed.
