CARVED CHINESE JADEITE JADE PLATES, 19TH/20TH CENTURY
Two jadeite plates of white, orange, and dark-green color, with original box and certification from Gemological Institute of America. The thin walls are incised with landscape scenes on one side and plant, animal, and insect motifs on the other. Each measures: 5 3/4 inches in diameter. Appraised for insurance purposes by Tivol in 1980 for $1,500. Jadeite jade classification determined through lab testing by GIA and AGS certified gemologist Tracey Kahle.
Condition Report: Good with wears consistent with age.
