Oceania, 20th century. Carved Papua New Guinea figural basket hook with cowrie shell eyes, decorative feathers and figure skirt / covering. Apparently unmarked. Approx. h. 30.25", w. 18.5". Provenance: From the Estate of Jack Warner / TheWarner Foundation, Tuscaloosa, AL.
Condition Report: Wear commensurate with age and materials. Scattered stable cracks, prior repair to arm and scuffing / scratches with loss to finish.
