Cased Colt 1860 Army Revolver, .44 caliber, six-round cylinder, 8" round barrel marked at the top on one line "Address Col. Saml Colt New-York US America," two line "Colts Patent" at left receiver, caliber at rear of trigger guard, cylinder engraved with Texas-Mexico ships battle scene and "Colts Patent No. 3883," wood grips, four visible matching serial numbers, mfg. 1868, SN 173XXX, housed in wood box with "Colts Patent" bullet mold, powder flask marked "James Dixon, Sheffield," Eley London cap tin, box: 2.5"h, 14.75"w, 7"d *Note: Cylinder scene is crisp and easily visible. Retains hard case coloring at frame and loading lever.
