CASED COLT LONDON MODEL 1849 REVOLVER.
Cal. 31. S# 4485. Standard configuration, steel back strap & trigger guard, 6" octagonal barrel marked "ADDRESS COL. COLT / LONDON" with brackets, small brass cone shaped bead sight, 5-shot cylinder with rolled stagecoach holdup scene, varnished walnut grips. Revolver is silver plated, British proofs on barrel and each cylinder chamber. Manufactured 1854. Revolver is housed in original Colt London blue baize lined mahogany casing with COLTS PATENT 2-cavity mold, 2 cap tins, flask, pewter oiler, combination nipple wrench/screwdriver, and cleaning rod. CONDITION: Revolver is very good, complete and matching S#s throughout, the old silver plate is 80-90% intact, cylinder has partial cylinder scene visible, grips retain 90% restored bright varnish finish, crisp mechanics, very good rifled bore. Casing is very good, slightly warped lid. (01-30035/JS). ANTIQUE. $2,000-3,000.
